Vedas are books from God. They are documents from God, to give knowledge to humans. These documents gives guidelines to humans for

3. social structures, 
4. different ages [Golden Age, Kalyuga etc], 
5. the division of time, 
6. time travel, 
7. birth of universe, 
8. time line or age of universe, 
9. the exact theory of universe creation [which are in research and many scientists are working on Vedas and they are copying the fundamentals of Vedas].
